![]() Curating a balanced color point of view that embraces the artistic, intuitive, and scientific is something I work towards every day. Extraordinary color expertise is about the art AND science of color. Like I mentioned before, how a color looks matters a lot, it's not just about the numbers. To tone down the orange, is greige the way to go? Or taupe?Any thoughts? I’d like one of those colors with the high LRV. I am wondering if the Kilim Beige might work, or maybe something lighter. In nicer weather, it is jarring to transition from the bright outdoors into the darker kitchen. Our backdoor is in this room (sort of to the far left of table on the same wall as the window, and there’s another longer window between them) this is where we mainly come and go to the garage and backyard. I’d like to improve upon it and go a shade or two lighter. We painted the walls with a generic beige color I had in other rooms of the house that's darkened over time. The room is north facing, with lots of wood cabinets that have that orangy tinge to them. ![]() We remodeled our kitchen 10 years ago and my husband mentioned that it could use some new paint.
